Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope

Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope is a darkly comic drama about the unravelling of a friendship between two young women, as one of them starts to spiral out of control. Up-and-coming actors Seána Kerslake (A Date for Mad Mary) and Nika McGuigan (Philomena) star as Aisling and Danielle, two very different twentysomethings from Cork living and partying in Dublin. Aisling is used to getting her own way and Danielle, never one to hog the spotlight, is only too happy to go along with it. But something is changing and the reality they’ve been running from for a long time is catching up fast. Six-part series set in contemporary Dublin and written by Stefanie Preissner (Solpadeine is my Boyfriend), the supporting cast includes Amy Huberman as Aisling’s boss; Laurence Ó Fuarain; Muiris Crowley and Norma Sheahan. Produced for RTÉ2 by Ailish McElmeel and directed by Cathy Brady.

The Rubberbandits’ Guides

The Rubberbandits’ Guides is a four-part half-hour comedy series presented by comedians, part-time pop stars, and viral sensations the Rubberbandits. In each episode they take one subject (Sex, Money, The Internet and Reality) and bring us their own absolutely unique take on it - it’s like proper TV, except filled with jokes! The boys explore how money works, and how different approaches to filthy lucre create vastly different societies; they give their invaluable insights into the internet; use a large aquarium to explain the mating dance that keeps the human race alive; and reassure us all that what is happening to us, is actually real. Probably. The Rubberbandits’ Guides - just your average hybrid viral sitcom documentary, presented by two grown men wearing plastic bags.
